Jones County History and Heritage (JCHH) is a private, non-profit organization with the mission of promoting an appreciation of Jones County's rich historic resources and fostering their preservation, restoration, and revitalization. Located near the geographic center of Georgia, Jones County was formed in 1807 from land ceded by the Creek Indians. For an overview of its history, please go to www.georgiaencyclopedia.org.

Since JCHH's establishment in 2002, we have sponsored and participated in many community projects, some of which are listed below:

We have also sponsored the republication of two books and publication of a third book concerning the history of Jones County and its people.
