Jones County's Bicentennial
Jones County was established on December 10, 1807 at the Georgia Capital in Milledgeville, Georgia. The county was developed from portions of what was then Baldwin County. In 1808 Albany was named as the county seat but was later referred to as Clinton in 1809. Gray was named the county seat in 1905. Much has occurred in Jones County in the past 200 years.
